Placements24 seeks a Remote Precision Agriculture Specialist to guide farmers in implementing data-driven farming using GIS, remote sensing, and FMIS. The role supports clients remotely, interpreting yield maps, soil data, and imagery to optimize farm operations.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years in precision agriculture, strong analytical skills, and exceptional communication to translate complex data into actionable recommendations. Remote-first environment with global collaboration.

Formación

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Agricultural Science, Agronomy, Geomatics, Computer Science, or a related field with a focus on precision agriculture.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in precision agriculture, agronomy, or agricultural data analysis.
• Strong understanding of GIS software (ArcGIS, QGIS) and remote sensing principles.
• Proficiency in analyzing agricultural data using tools like Ag Leader SMS, John Deere Operations Center, Climate FieldView.
• Experience with farm management information systems (FMIS).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation skills.
• Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple projects remotely.
• Knowledge of various crops and their management requirements.

Responsabilidades

• Analyze farm data including yield maps, soil sampling results, imagery, and sensor data.
• Develop variable rate application prescription maps for seeding, fertilization, and crop protection.
• Assist clients in selecting and implementing precision agriculture hardware and software solutions.
• Interpret GIS and remote sensing data to identify patterns and provide actionable recommendations for crop management.
• Develop customized farm management plans based on precision data analysis.
• Train farmers and farm staff on precision agriculture equipment and software.
• Stay updated on advancements in precision agriculture technology and data analytics.
• Troubleshoot issues related to precision agriculture equipment and data processing.
