Job summary

Radiology Partners, Premier Radiology’s parent, is seeking a Remote Pre-Authorization Specialist to support outpatient radiology services. You will determine pre-authorization and medical necessity requirements, liaise with patients and physicians, and secure documentation, all within a CST-based schedule.

The role emphasizes healthcare billing knowledge, strong communication, and proficiency with the eClinicalWorks Practice Management System, applicable to a national network of RP practices.

Qualifications

• Background in healthcare preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical billing and managed care.
• Background with eClinicalWorks Practice Management System preferred.
• Excellent communication skills to communicate with patients, physicians, clients, coworkers, and management staff.
• Excellent phone and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Contact insurance companies and third-party administrators to determine pre-authorization and/or medical necessity requirements for outpatient radiology exams and procedures.
• Obtain pre-authorization before the scheduled services are performed.
• Act as a liaison between the patients and referring physician offices when needed to obtain additional clinical documentation.
• Fully remote - Working in CST time-zone.
