Job summary

Vitalief is seeking an experienced Pre- and Post-Award Research Grants Administrator for a fully remote, full-time role supporting a statewide clinical research initiative in New Jersey.

The position requires 5+ years in grants administration, with strong budgeting, compliance, and cross-functional coordination across investigators, Finance, and Contracts. Remote EST hours, comprehensive benefits, and a collaborative, people-first culture are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health, healthcare administration, business, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of grants administration experience across pre- and post-award lifecycle.
• Experience with federal, state, nonprofit, and/or for-profit sponsors (e.g., NIH, DARPA).
• Experience coordinating multi-institutional proposals with investigators and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate grant and contract proposals for completeness, accuracy, and sponsor compliance.
• Assist PIs with proposal development, budgets, forms, and documentation.
• Coordinate multi-investigator and multi-institutional proposals and ensure deadlines are met.
• Submit proposals through institutional systems and sponsor portals; maintain records.
• Serve as liaison between sponsors and PIs regarding requirements before award issuance.
• Coordinate award setup, budget management, and financial monitoring post-award.
• Prepare RPPRs and other required progress reports.
• Coordinate sponsor prior-approval requests (no-cost extensions, scope changes).
• Ensure compliance with sponsor terms and institutional policies.
