Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of experience in insurance verification, patient access, revenue cycle, medical billing, or related healthcare setting.
• Experience with EMR systems (Meditech, Epic, Cerner, Allscripts, Nextgen, HST/Clarity, Waystar) to support billing and account resolution.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other business software; professionalism and integrity in the workplace.

Responsibilities

• Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and network participation for physician offices, hospitals, and ambulatory surgery centers.
• Secure authorizations for ordered procedures within defined timelines.
• Coordinate with clinical teams regarding unattainable authorizations or delays.
• Communicate with payers to confirm coverage and benefits; provide financial counseling to patients.
