Job summary

GovCIO is hiring a Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support workflow enhancement, automation engineering, data configuration, data analytics, and reporting activities for the ICE mission at DHS.

The role will be fully remote within the United States, collaborating with data analytics teams to deliver real-time metrics and actionable insights across multiple data sources. A bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of experience with Microsoft Power Platform are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or other engineering/technical discipline is required; 8+ years of experience or commensurate experience may substitute for education.
• 5+ years of Microsoft experience.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and implement Power Apps solutions to streamline business processes and improve operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand workflows and identify where Power Apps/BI can provide innovative solutions.
• Translate business requirements into Power Apps solutions and integrate with other Microsoft tools.
• Develop and manage Power BI dashboards and reports to present KPIs and metrics clearly.
• Provide recommendations for automation and data management across the organization using Power Platform (Power Automate and Power BI).
• Document technical specifications and designs for Power Apps and Power BI projects.
• Stay updated with Microsoft Power Platform best practices to ensure effective tooling and methodologies.
• Collaborate with business, scrum teams, and project managers to collect information for timely responses to requests.
• Enable end-user visibility of data via dashboard creation and metric dissemination across systems like Oracle, Databricks, AWS, and ServiceNow.
• Perform gap analysis and recommend practical solutions for data systems.
