Job summary

PTS Advance seeks a Mechanical Designer to develop piping and mechanical layouts and 3D models for power plants and energy projects. The role focuses on P&ID creation, equipment layouts, and system design across steam, water treatment, and fuel handling domains.

You will check designs against industry codes, coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams, and mentor junior designers while delivering high-quality, on-time results in a fast-paced EPC environment.

Qualifications

• 4–10 years of mechanical or piping design experience in power, industrial, or oil & gas sectors.
• Degree in Drafting, Design, or related engineering field preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
• Proficient in 3D modeling tools and P&ID development with 3D coordination.

Responsibilities

• Produce P&IDs, layout plans, sections, and 3D models for power plant systems.
• Design mechanical systems including rotating equipment and HVAC.
• Check design deliverables for codes, specs, and internal standards.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for accuracy and constructability.
• Provide guidance to junior designers and interns.
• Work independently with high quality and timeliness; meet budgets and schedules.
• Attend project meetings and support project development and execution.
