Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Remote Piping Designer to craft medium to complex mechanical and piping systems for industrial and power generation facilities using 2D and 3D tools. You will develop P&IDs, GA drawings, and piping isometrics while following project standards and coordinating with multiple disciplines.

The role requires extensive experience with Autodesk Plant 3D and AutoCAD, piping layout, and field-accurate design documentation.

Qualifications

Minimum 10 years of industrial piping design experience, including powerplant piping and support design beyond an associate degree level.
Associate degree in piping design or a related technical field, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
Proficiency with Autodesk Plant 3D for 2D and 3D piping and mechanical design.
Strong experience using AutoCAD and other Autodesk design tools for mechanical and piping layouts.

Responsibilities

Design medium to complex mechanical and piping systems for industrial and power generation facilities using 2D and 3D design tools.
Develop P&IDs, GA drawings, equipment plans, and piping isometric drawings per project standards.
Review vendor and mechanical supplier documents for technical accuracy and integration with plant systems.
Coordinate mechanical and piping design activities with other discipline groups to ensure cohesive designs.
