Job summary

Kiewit Power Engineering is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Designer to develop piping and mechanical equipment designs, layouts and 3D models for power generation and related facilities. You will work on steam cycle, water treatment, fuel handling, and other systems within EPC projects, collaborating with a diverse team to deliver safe, cost-effective outcomes.

Qualifications

• 3-12 years’ experience in Design and/or Drafting with piping/mechanical systems in 3D modeling.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Drafting/Design or engineering preferred; high school diploma acceptable.
• Experience with 3D design tools and organises data efficiently.

Responsibilities

• Draft sketches, piping and instrument diagrams (P&IDs) and 3D models for power plant systems.
• Check designs against industry codes, standards and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with drafters and designers to support project progress and results.
• Train interns or new graduates and provide guidance as needed.
• Identify scope changes and adjust designs to meet budget and schedule.
