Job summary

WSP USA is seeking a Power & Energy Lifecycle Project Manager (Remote) to lead delivery of transmission, distribution, substations, and communications projects with a focus on SCADA and telecom. Role involves lifecycle management, client relations, and financial oversight across regional projects.

You will drive proposals, schedules, budgets, and risk plans while coordinating with area managers, subcontractors, and project accounting. Occasional travel and face-to-face meetings are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, or related major; equivalent experience in a technical/engineering firm.
• Progress toward project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAP-M).
• 5+ years of post-education experience in a project management role within the industry.
• Understanding of PM delivery in A/E/C industry with background in PM.
• Analytical and organizational skills with business acumen to bridge business and PM.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills in professional settings.
• Self-leadership with attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
• Independent work with QA/QC adherence and basic PM tools proficiency.
• Proficiency with MS Office suite and PM software (Word, Excel, Visio, Project, SharePoint).
• Ability to coordinate resources, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

Responsibilities

• Develop project proposals, cost estimates, scope, schedules, and resource plans.
• Create WBS tasks and estimate costs.
• Update documentation in Risk, PMP, QP, PSP, and Communications Plan.
• Lead project kick-off meetings with stakeholders.
• Monitor project metrics, time-to-completion, cash flow, and budgeted margins.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, scheduling, cost/change management.
• Coordinate with managers on resource and subcontractor needs.
• Oversee subcontractors, supplier submissions, invoices and payments.
• Report progress to clients and management; liaise with Procurement to close procurements.
• Conduct formal closeout and lessons-learned sessions.
• Develop financial acumen to understand project data.
• Stay current with PMAP and PM practices.
• Ensure adherence to WSP Code of Conduct and policies.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
• Candidate subject to client approval.
