Job summary

Sigma Technologies is seeking experienced Make-Ready and Power Distribution Designers to support overhead pole design and make-ready projects for major utilities. You will review field data, model pole loading, and prepare construction-ready packages using AutoCAD, MicroStation, and related tools.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in make-ready or electric power distribution design, strong CAD skills, and the ability to work remotely with occasional site orientation.

Qualifications

• Experience in make-ready engineering, joint-use design, or electric power distribution design.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation and utility design platforms.
• Strong understanding of power distribution construction practices and safety.

Responsibilities

• Execute overhead distribution or make-ready design work orders to meet quality, time, and budget.
• Apply engineering design standards and NESC requirements in projects.
• Perform end-to-end make-ready, joint-use, and general distribution design.
• Conduct permitting and easement research for pole ownership and ROW.
• Collaborate to resolve design challenges and ensure accurate deliverables.
• Utilize AutoCAD, MicroStation, DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, or similar tools.
• Perform quality control reviews and support additional duties as needed.
