Job summary

HNM Systems is seeking a Power Distribution Designer to support utility distribution design and pole loading analysis projects. You will model overhead distribution facilities, execute pole loading analysis, and develop make-ready engineering solutions for large utility programs.

Ideal candidates have hands-on experience with utility distribution systems and joint-use practices, with knowledge of single- and three-phase power systems and a strong analytical approach.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Electrical Design, Utility Design, Engineering Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of utility distribution design, telecom engineering, joint-use engineering, or pole loading analysis experience.
• Experience using O-Calc Pro, SPIDAcalc, PoleForeman, Katapult Pro.

Responsibilities

• Design overhead distribution facilities and configure pole structures to standards.
• Model conductors, transformers, equipment, and joint-use attachments.
• Perform pole loading analysis and clearance reviews.
• Develop make-ready engineering solutions and construction estimates.
