Sigma Technologies, Ltd. is seeking experienced Power Distribution or Make-Ready Designers to support overhead utility pole design projects. The role emphasizes accuracy, collaboration, and long-term growth, with remote work from Fort Worth, TX.

You will review field data, model pole loading, and develop construction-ready packages for major utilities. Ideal candidates bring NESC experience, joint-use design skills, and proficiency with CAD/MicroStation and related tools such as DDS, Katapult,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in make-ready engineering or electric power distribution design.
• Experience with NESC application, clearance analysis, and pole loading concepts.
• Proficiency with CAD or MicroStation; familiarity with DDS/Katapult/O-Calc preferred.
• Ability to prepare construction-ready design packages and attend orientation.

Responsibilities

• Execute overhead distribution or make-ready design work orders to meet quality and schedule targets.
• Apply engineering standards, NESC requirements, and internal processes.
• Perform end-to-end make-ready and joint-use distribution design tasks.
• Conduct permitting research including pole ownership and ROW rights.
• Collaborate to resolve design challenges and ensure accurate deliverables.
• Use tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, DDS, Katapult, O-Calc, or GIS systems.
• Perform quality control reviews as needed.
• Support additional duties as assigned.
