Job summary

Leidos Engineering seeks an experienced Project Manager to support a large electric utility client within the Strategic Program Consulting team of the Power Delivery Solutions division. You will manage a diverse portfolio of electric projects from initiation to delivery, coordinating with cross-functional stakeholders to meet scope, cost, and schedule targets.

The role emphasizes PMP best practices, risk management, and rigorous governance.

Qualifications

4+ years of progressive Project Management experience within the Electric Utility industry.
Experience working with US Electric Utilities and understanding of electric power infrastructure.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to travel periodically with a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Accurately maintain project budgets and forecasts monthly.
Ensure compliance with financial governance policies and procedures.
Identify and mitigate risks to the project delivery process including permitting, logistics, material, resource, contractual and cost constraints.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and other mandatory targets.
Prepare for and attend workplans and other stakeholder meetings.
Assemble project teams and host project meetings to resolve risks or issues.
Ensure timely completion of reports as required by the business.
Monitor performance against KPIs and adjust ways of working to achieve high performance.
Challenge existing processes and drive improvements to best practices for efficiency.
Maintain detailed project schedules monthly with Project Controllers in Primavera P6 with requirements, milestones, and resourcing.
