Job summary

SMASH is seeking an experienced BI Developer to support the development and maintenance of enterprise BI and reporting solutions. You will design and implement Power BI reports, models, and dashboards across cloud and on-premises environments.

The role emphasizes hands-on Power BI development, data modeling, and semantic modeling, with a focus on large datasets, DAX calculations, and robust documentation. Remote work with LATAM citizenship/work permit is required.

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Experience with Power BI Service / Cloud.
• Power BI on-premises experience is valuable.
• Proficient in DAX and SQL (T-SQL).
• Hands-on with Tabular Editor and TOM concepts.
• Data modeling and dimensional modeling proficiency.
• Experience with Git for version control and Confluence documentation.
• Ability to work with large datasets and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance Power BI reports and dashboards.
• Build Power BI solutions across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Create and maintain scalable semantic models for enterprise reporting.
• Develop calculations, measures, and business logic with DAX.
• Write and optimize T-SQL/SQL queries for data extraction and analysis.
• Utilize Tabular Editor and TOM concepts to manage models and metadata.
• Design effective fact and dimension data models for reporting.
• Collaborate with analysts, engineers, and business stakeholders to translate requirements.
