Job summary

Percona is seeking a remote database support engineer with deep PostgreSQL experience. You will work with customers’ DBA teams to analyze issues, gather data, and deliver detailed findings by email or chat. For production-impacting problems, expect screen-sharing guidance to resolve matters efficiently.

You will also author blogs, contribute to open-source docs, and help the community through forums and webinars.

Qualifications

• Deep hands-on PostgreSQL experience with related tools and extensions.
• Strong ability to tune performance, optimize queries, and manage backups.
• Experience with high availability; familiarity with replication, routers, proxies.
• Ability to troubleshoot Linux systems, write ANSI SQL with window functions.
• Good English communication and willingness to contribute to Open Source.

Responsibilities

• Help customers' DBA teams by gathering data and providing detailed analyses via email, chat, or voice.
• Lead screen-sharing sessions for production-impacting issues to resolve problems quickly.
• Author blog posts, answer questions on forums, and contribute to knowledge base articles.
• Host webinars and participate in community events to share insights and best practices.
