Job summary

George Mason University invites applications for a Post Award Research Administrator to support setup, maintenance, and compliance for sponsored projects. You will coordinate awards, budgets, and approvals, and serve as a resource to PIs and department admins on post-award matters.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Relevant experience can be substituted for education or direct sponsored program experience.
• University and/or sponsored program experience (minimum typically 3 years) is required.
• Highly developed time management, problem resolution and organizational skills.
• Ability to foster an environment that supports teamwork, collaboration, and high-quality customer service.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial review of award documents and prepares new awards and award modifications for setup.
• Reviews awards for compliance requirements (IRS, IACUC, lab safety, COi, etc.) and coordinates actions for approvals prior to setup.
• Prepares award record in RAMP grants module and ensures Pis and departmental contacts receive accurate award details.
• Analyzes award documents and identifies issues; ensures RAMP reflects sponsor requirements and follows up on approvals.
• Communicates potential problems to university administrators and responds to questions promptly.
• Ensures all award documents and notes to file are maintained in contract files.
