Job summary

Piper Companies seeks a Project Manager Excellence Lead – Capital Programs for a long-term consulting engagement in the United States. You will establish governance, controls, and execution standards for a major biopharma expansion, coordinating across engineering, procurement, finance, digital, quality, and operations.

The role requires 10+ years in capital projects, strong PM methodologies, and hands-on tool experience with Primavera and related platforms.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience supporting large capital projects in regulated manufacturing environments.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, governance frameworks, and stage-gate program delivery models.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise project tools such as Primavera P6/OPC, Unifier, Power BI, SAP PS/WBS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement project management governance frameworks, stage-gate processes, quality reviews, and program-level reporting standards for a large-scale capital program.
• Drive updates to program and project execution plans, aligning across engineering, procurement, finance, digital, quality, and operations.
• Establish and enhance project controls systems, including scheduling, cost management, KPI reporting, SAP WBS, and dashboard development.
• Lead design and rollout of risk, change management, scheduling, and reporting processes with clear ownership and approvals.
• Support executive leadership with stage-gate readiness, governance documentation, maturity reviews, and corrective action tracking.
