Solid Rock Recruiting, LLC. is seeking a hands-on Project Manager / Estimator for Division 8 (Commercial Doors, Frames & Hardware). The role is remote with regional travel, reporting to the Operations Manager, and involves managing projects from takeoff to final billing.

The position combines estimating with project management, requiring plans review, submittal coordination, and strong vendor/contractor relationships. Regional travel is expected as projects necessitate site visits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years estimating and/or project management in construction or related trades.
• Strong Division 8 knowledge for doors, frames & hardware preferable.
• Ability to read construction drawings and perform accurate takeoffs.
• Familiarity with AIA pay applications, retainage, and submittal processes.
• Experience with door hardware schedules and shop drawings.

Responsabilités

• Review plans, specifications, door schedules, and addenda to prepare takeoffs and quotes.
• Build estimates covering material, labor, lead times, and margins.
• Order materials and coordinate vendor lead times and deliveries.
• Manage project turnover from estimate to award and set up projects.
• Prepare and track submittals, hardware schedules, and shop drawings for approval.
• Coordinate with customers, general contractors, and vendors throughout the project.
