Job summary

Acuren is recruiting PLI Technicians (Pipeline Integrity) to support our West Region operations. This role involves field examinations, data review, and reporting to support pipeline integrity programs.

About 90% travel across the US, with 10% at the home division location; remote work possible in some states. Responsibilities include procedural adherence, direct assessment of pipe conditions, and writing inspection reports.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college preferred.
• Technical background desired.
• Experience working with pipeline integrity or maintenance positions.
• Extensive knowledge of quality and safety requirements.
• Current Magnetic Particle Testing Level 2 and Ultrasonic Thickness Level 2.
• NACE CIP Level I / CP Level I preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Adherence to Acuren and customer procedures and specifications, including reports.
• Perform direct assessment of as-found pipe condition, coating, soils, and cathodic protection.
• Examine pipe for cracks, corrosion, deformation, and manufacturing anomalies.
• Correlate as-found pipe features to Inline Inspection (ILI) log.
• Conduct fit-for-service evaluations per ASME B31.3 and RSTRENG.
• Conduct hazard assessments prior to work and follow safe work procedures.
• Calibration and setup of NDE equipment.
• Provide clients with quality services in a timely manner.
• Follow regulatory requirements, codes, procedures, and techniques.
• Train PLI Assistants and Junior Technicians.
