Job summary

Symbotic is seeking an ICS Implementation Project Manager to join the Industrial Controls Program Management team. You will own end-to-end planning for PLC updates, coordinate with site operations, and drive structured release cycles across a fleet of live sites.

You will lead cross-functional efforts with Controls Engineering, Software Release, QA, and Site Operations to ensure smooth, low-downtime deployments while maintaining rigorous change control and project governance.

Qualifications

• > 5 years of experience in project engineering, release coordination, or project management within industrial automation, robotics, warehouse automation, or complex electromechanical systems.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end planning, scheduling, and execution of industrial controls (PLC) updates, hotfixes, and sustaining releases across live sites.
• Facilitate triage and intake for live-site issues, enhancement requests, and field escalations with backlog hygiene, scoping, prioritization, and Jira SLA tracking.
• Coordinate with Site Operations and cross-functional partners to negotiate maintenance windows, rollout schedules, and pre-/post-update verification procedures.
• Enforce change management, rollback strategies, and gating criteria to minimize downtime during deployments.
• Develop repeatable planning and release cadences, build visibility dashboards, and conduct post-release retrospectives to improve fleet deployments.
• Collaborate with Controls Engineering, Software Release, QA, and Site Operations to convert requests into structured release windows.
