Job summary

Glean is seeking a security-focused software engineer to design, implement, and test security features across the platform, focusing on authentication, secure communication, and data access controls.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, stay ahead of threats, conduct security reviews, automate testing, and document best practices in a fully remote role with competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software development with a strong focus on security.
• Experience designing and implementing secure authentication and authorization systems.
• Understanding of secure coding principles and best practices (OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with secure communication protocols (TLS/SSL).
• Familiarity with security testing tools and methodologies (static analysis, pentesting).
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure core platform features.
• Collaborate with engineering and product to embed security practices.
• Stay up-to-date on security threats, vulnerabilities, and mitigations.
• Conduct security code reviews and identify risks in codebases.
• Develop and implement automated security testing procedures.
• Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response.
