Job summary

Glean is seeking a security-focused software engineer to design, implement, and test security features across our platform. You’ll work on authentication, authorization, secure data storage, and secure communications, collaborating with cross-functional teams to weave security into the development lifecycle.

You will stay ahead of threats, perform security code reviews, and build automated testing. A strong security mindset, 5+ years in software, and expertise in TLS, OWASP, and cloud/container

Qualifications

• BA/BS in computer science or related field; MS a strong plus.
• Minimum 5+ years of software development with a strong focus on security aspects.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing secure authentication and authorization systems.
• In-depth understanding of secure coding principles and best practices (e.g., OWASP Top 10).
• Experience with secure communication protocols (e.g., TLS/SSL).
• Familiarity with security testing tools and methodologies (e.g., static code analysis, penetration testing).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure software for core platform functionalities, focusing on authentication/authorization, secure communications, and data access controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to embed security across the development lifecycle.
• Conduct security code reviews and implement automated security testing procedures.
• Respond to security incidents and participate in incident response procedures.
• Continuously improve the platform's security posture and document security processes.
