Job summary

Turquoise Health is hiring a Platform Operations Engineer to build and shape our Platform Engineering functions remotely within the United States. You’ll own foundations for how we deploy, operate, and scale infrastructure supporting healthcare outcomes.

You’ll manage container environments on AWS EKS, implement GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux), and drive reliability, observability, and automation across CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
• 3+ years in SRE, DevOps, or Cloud Infrastructure.
• Strong experience with core AWS services (VPC, IAM, EKS, RDS).
• Infrastructure as code with Terraform, CloudFormation, or Crossplane.
• Proficient with GitHub and GitHub Actions in CI/CD pipelines.
• Production Kubernetes experience and GitOps (ArgoCD/Flux) and Helm.
• Observability tooling: Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch, Grafana; alerting, dashboards, log pipelines.
• Python scripting to glue systems and automate tasks.

Responsibilities

• Support the Platform Infrastructure—manage and scale container environment on AWS EKS, implement GitOps with ArgoCD, maintain CI/CD with GitHub Actions.
• Build for Reliability—define SLIs/SLOs, lead incident response and post-mortems, contribute to disaster recovery.
• Drive Observability—design/maintain monitoring/logging stack with Datadog, Sentry, CloudWatch; provide clear visibility.
• Shape the Platform’s Future—collaborate on architecture, build internal tooling and self-service workflows.
