Job summary

Bowman is seeking a Planner III to join our team remotely in the United States. You will perform planning for residential, commercial and public land development projects and work with senior staff to learn and contribute.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or related field, five+ years in land development, and AICP/ALA certification. Proficiency with AutoCAD, ArcGIS, and Microsoft Office is expected, with opportunities for marketing involvement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, landscape architecture, civil engineering or related field required.
• Five or more (5+) years of planning or similarly relevant experience in land development.
• Certification in AICP or ALA and a licensed registered professional or equivalent experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, ArcGIS, SketchUp, or Adobe Suite is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual plans and land planning for various projects.
• Prepare site feasibility studies and reports.
• Prepare submittal documents to obtain permits and approvals.
• Research, analyze, and display data for planning issues.
• Research zoning codes and agency requirements for design considerations.
• Compile reports and maps for documentation and reference.
• Prepare graphics for public meetings.
• Develop constraints maps for assessment.
• Perform site plan reviews for local/state criteria and project documentation.
• Research landowner information and agreements.
