Job summary

Bowman is seeking an Environmental Scientist III to join our team remotely. You will lead environmental projects in land development, including wetland delineations, regulatory coordination, and client collaboration.

Responsibilities cover field assessments, data analysis, design preparation, budgeting, and reports, with opportunities for mentoring staff and business development. A strong background in wetlands and GIS is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Ecology, Biology, or related field required at time of employment.
• Master's degree strongly preferred.
• Must have wetland/water delineation experience.
• Registered Professional in Wetland Scientist (PWS) preferred, and/or any other applicable certification (WPIT, etc).
• Five or more (5+) years of relevant industry-related experience.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or ArcGIS.
• Must hold a valid state driver's license and successfully pass a motor vehicle check.

Responsibilities

• Conduct complex field assessments, land use studies, and parkland impact assessments as prescribed by proposals and contracts.
• Conduct fieldwork independently or in a team environment in all types of weather conditions and throughout various terrains.
• Prepare and direct preparation of designs, specifications, plans, estimates and reports for projects.
• Perform project development for complex projects, including finalizing scope of projects, preparing bid summaries, preparing project budgets and cost estimates.
• Maintain healthy client relationships and possess solid operational insight for driving projects and executing deliverables.
• Assist in all components related to planning and completing environmental projects.
