The practice handles complex matters involving sexual abuse/sexual assault, catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, traumatic brain injury, product liability, premises liability, serious automobile and bicycle matters, and other high-value plaintiff litigation.

Responsibilities may include:

• Managing a caseload of complex plaintiff-side litigation
• Conducting and defending depositions
• Handling written discovery and discovery strategy
• Drafting and arguing substantive motions
• Working with experts and developing expert strategy
• Preparing cases for mediation and settlement
• Participating in trial preparation
• Assisting with trial and, where appropriate, taking meaningful responsibility during trial
• Communicating directly with clients and developing strong attorney-client relationships
• Evaluating case strategy, liability, damages and settlement considerations
• Working closely with senior trial counsel on significant matters

The ideal candidate will have:

• Substantive litigation experience with complex or high-value matters
• Experience with discovery, depositions, experts, motions, mediation/settlement, and trial preparation
• Demonstrated ability to independently manage meaningful portions of cases

This is a lean, intimate California litigation boutique where attorneys have direct access to firm leadership rather than working through multiple layers of management.

The firm's founder and lead trial attorney has extensive experience handling complex plaintiff litigation and has held leadership positions within the California plaintiff trial-lawyer community.

Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $170,000 – $250,000. Factors that may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

The position may also be eligible for a performance-based bonus.
