Job summary

Jobot in Santa Monica, CA is seeking a Plaintiff Attorney to advocate for clients harmed by fires and related negligence. You will work under a Partner on a docket including personal injuries, wrongful death, and property damage, conducting research, drafting pleadings, and negotiating settlements.

Requirements include a JD from an accredited law school, active license to practice in California, at least 2 years in plaintiff litigation, and strong written and verbal skills.

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school.
• Active license to practice law in HI.
• Minimum of 2 years of plaintiff litigation experience (personal injury, wrongful death, fire).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, and other legal documents
• Attend hearings, depositions, and trials
• Negotiate with opposing counsel to settle cases
• Provide counsel to clients regarding their legal rights and options
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date case files
