Job summary

MAREC Action seeks a PJM and Transmission Policy Manager to advocate for transmission expansion and renewal energy policies within the PJM footprint. The role focuses on developing strategies with member companies and guiding policy positions to support clean energy deployment.

You will engage with stakeholders, analyze PJM proposals, and communicate complex policy concepts clearly. Remote work is offered with required in-person PJM and state capitol engagements, within the ten-jurisdiction

Qualifications

• At least two years of postgraduate electric power industry or regulatory experience.
• Experience with regional transmission organization’s stakeholder process.
• Policy analysis skills and techniques.
• Qualitative and quantitative data interpretation skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Advance transmission and market policies that support deployment of clean energy solutions.
• Synthesize member feedback and develop a coordinated PJM strategy.
• Attend PJM meetings and identify consensus positions to influence outcomes.
• Provide summaries and analysis of PJM proposals and state policies.
• Write blogs, position papers, and fact sheets.
• Support events with key stakeholders as needed.
• Represent MAREC in state processes and regulatory affairs.
• Build relationships with members, partners, and staff.
