Job summary

AtkinsRéalis is seeking an Intermediate Piping Engineer Energy for a remote role, based out of Oak Ridge, TN, focusing on design, analysis and installation of piping systems for nuclear and commercial projects.

You will prepare P&IDs and 3D models, perform stress analyses with PipeStress/AutoPIPE, and ensure compliance with ASME and ANSI codes while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams. Strong technical writing and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience; nuclear industry preferred.
• Experience with piping design, materials, fittings, valves and support systems.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks.

Responsibilities

• Design, layout, installation and maintenance of piping systems and supports.
• Create detailed engineering drawings, P&IDs and 3D models for piping routes and plant setup.
• Perform stress analysis and engineering calculations per applicable codes and standards.
• Review technical documents and drawings including GA, P&IDs and pipe supports.
• Mentor and review work of junior engineers in multi-discipline teams.
