Job summary

AtkinsRéalis seeks an Intermediate I&C Engineer Energy for a remote role based in Oak Ridge, TN. Responsible for designing, testing, and maintaining I&C systems that monitor and automate industrial processes in nuclear and commercial projects.

You will prepare technical docs, perform safety and non-safety analyses, and collaborate with multi-discipline teams to ensure compliance with international codes and cybersecurity requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; nuclear industry preferred.
• Experience with instrumentation and control and electrical design principles.
• Familiarity with IEEE, IEC, EPRI, ANSI, ISA, IAEA standards.

Responsibilities

• Designs, tests, installs, and maintains I&C systems for nuclear and commercial projects.
• Develops control system designs including PLC and SCADA systems.
• Performs performance analysis, identifies faults, and resolves issues for reliable plant operation.
• Produces P&IDs, loop diagrams, and qualification test plans.
• Mentors junior engineers and ensures schedule adherence.
