Actalent is seeking a Remote Piping Designer for a confidential data center project. The role focuses on design and detail layouts using CAD and 3D tools, with emphasis on Revit 3D. You will guide the project team and ensure deliverables meet codes and standards.

The position offers a hybrid or remote work schedule, two days in-office and three days remote if local to Charlotte, NC. This contract-to-hire role requires strong piping design skills and collaboration with client engineering teams.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in piping design techniques.
• Experience with CAD and 3D design tools.
• Proficiency in Revit 3D.
• Sound understanding of engineering terminology and industry practices.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Understanding of design and associated design documents for assigned projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare design and detail layouts with minimal instruction, following written procedures and guidelines.
• Provide technical guidance for assigned projects.
• Design, layout, and check deliverables.
• Utilize CAD systems, including 3D design tools, efficiently.
• Monitor design and drafting work of CAD personnel and coordinate with other disciplines as necessary.
• Interpret and apply applicable codes, standards, procedures, guidelines, and specifications.
• Provide schedules for work assignments.
• Prepare calculations to support designs.
