Job summary

PenBay is seeking motivated individuals to join as Remote Pilot Operators (RPO). No aviation experience is required, but helpful. The role involves simulating pilot actions and ATC communications during training exercises, using CRT/keyboard/VCS systems.

RPOs will undergo certification and training, with FAA security screening. This is a full-time position based in the facility, with emphasis on accurate data entry and effective communication with students.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Demonstrated 40 wpm keyboard speed with 90% accuracy.
• Ability to read and interpret diagrams and manuals.
• Ability to speak clearly and be understood.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.).
• Basic familiarization with current technology/tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate a CRT/keyboard/VCS setup to simulate pilot actions and ATC communications.
• Input correct entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions.
• Translate displayed information into ATC terminology and respond to students via VCS with proper phraseology.
