Job summary

SAIC is seeking a Full-time Remote Pilot Operator (RPO) to join the Controller Training Solutions team at the Regional Training Site in Phoenix, AZ. The RPO will operate within a high-fidelity ATC training simulator, emulating pilots and remote ATC facilities to support FAA training programs.

The role involves completing Classroom and Lab certifications, working with a radar display and voice communication system, and interacting with students to provide realistic flight deck experiences.

Qualifications

• Classroom certification (pass test on airspace and procedures)
• Lab certification (perform as a Remote Pilot Operator on all positions)
• Experience with aviation training simulations is a plus

Responsibilities

• Operates simulated radar display and voice communications to mimic pilots and remote ATC during training.
• Receives voice commands from students and inputs entries into the automated system to simulate pilot actions.
• Translates displayed information into ATC terminology and responds to the student via the VCS.
• Supports the training environment and ensures fidelity of the simulation for medium and high-fidelity exercises.
