Job summary

Edmentum is seeking a Full Time Virtual Teacher for Physics/Physical Science in Florida/Indiana. The role delivers live, on-camera instruction five hours daily in a remote-first setup, using data to tailor lessons and provide timely feedback.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field and active state teaching license in Florida and/or Indiana in Physics or Physical Science grades 6-12.
• Experience teaching in virtual and/or in-person settings.
• Comfortable with live online classroom and on-camera teaching for five or more hours daily.
• Hands-on experience with online learning platforms and standard productivity software.
• Data-informed: use student performance data to adjust instruction.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; meet students, families, and colleagues where they are.
• Highly organized and able to manage a full remote student caseload.
• Commitment to professional growth and staying current on K-12 curriculum and best practices.

Responsibilities

• Deliver live, on-camera synchronous instruction for five or more hours per day on scheduled instructional days.
• Use student data to personalize instruction and identify learning gaps.
• Provide timely, meaningful feedback and maintain accurate records for students and families.
• Build relationships with students and families through proactive communication.
• Collaborate with school partners and Edmentum colleagues to ensure consistent, high-quality support.
