Job summary
San Juan College seeks adjunct faculty to teach college-level courses and labs. Responsibilities include developing materials, presenting content clearly, evaluating students, and maintaining records. Courses may be day, evening, weekend, or online, at main or satellite campuses.
Minimum one office hour weekly per course; remote options possible within participating states. Candidates must hold a master's degree with 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field, preferably with prior teaching
Qualifications
- Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field from an accredited college or university.
- Preference for prior teaching experience.
- Experience with traditional face-to-face, hybrid and online courses.
- Ability to use San Juan College's Learning Management System (Canvas) and technology-enhanced curriculum.
- Access to home internet, a personal computer, and telephone.
Responsibilities
- Develop and revise instructional materials.
- Present material in an organized manner.
- Evaluate student learning and maintain records.
- Teach day, evening, weekend, and online classes as assigned.
- Teach at main and/or satellite campuses as assigned.
- Maintain a minimum of 1 office hour per week per course.
- Participate in Adjunct Professional Development activities.
