Job summary

San Juan College is seeking adjunct faculty to teach college‑level courses and labs on a semester‑by‑semester basis. Responsibilities include developing instructional materials, presenting content clearly, evaluating student learning, and maintaining records.

Remote or hybrid work may be approved within New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado and Texas, with on‑site duties at main or satellite campuses as needed. Qualified candidates hold a master’s degree with 18 graduate credits in a relevant field and

Qualifications

• Master's degree with at least 18 graduate credit hours in a relevant field from an accredited institution.
• Preference for prior teaching experience.
• Experience with traditional face-to-face, hybrid and online courses and using Canvas.
• Access to home internet, a personal computer, and a telephone.
• Willingness to learn multiple technology platforms to communicate with students.

Responsibilities

• Teach day, evening, weekend and online classes as assigned.
• Develop and revise instructional materials and present material in an organized manner.
• Evaluate student learning and maintain student records.
• Teach at main and/or satellite campuses as assigned; maintain a minimum of 1 office hour per week per course.
• Participate in Adjunct Professional Development activities; uphold school values.
