Job summary

Alignerr is hiring a Physics Subject Matter Expert (AI Training) to design rigorous physics problems and develop transparent reasoning for AI models. You will evaluate AI outputs, collaborate with researchers, and provide actionable feedback to improve benchmark quality across undergraduate to Masters-level physics.

The role is remote with flexible, asynchronous scheduling; prior AI experience is not required, and you can work from any location while pursuing a Masters or having completed one in

Qualifications

• Masters degree in Physics, Applied Physics, or closely related field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills across advanced physics domains.
• Able to communicate complex concepts clearly and precisely in writing.
• Detail-oriented with a rigorous, methodical approach to evaluating solutions.
• Self-motivated and comfortable working independently.
• No prior AI experience required.

Responsibilities

• Design challenging, rigorous physics problems spanning topics like mechanics, electromagnetism, thermodynamics, and more.
• Develop clear, step-by-step solutions that demonstrate sound logical reasoning.
• Evaluate AI-generated outputs for scientific accuracy and quality of reasoning.
• Collaborate with researchers to build and refine benchmarks across undergraduate to Masters-level physics.
• Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps AI models improve.
• Work independently and asynchronously on your own schedule.
