Qualifications

• RHIA or RHIT, CPC, CCS-P and CCS certifications required.
• Experience with CPT/HCPCS coding for physician services.
• Knowledge of ICD-9/ICD-10 and CMS guidelines is essential.

Responsibilities

• Code and abstract physician services from medical records.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy as measured by quality reviews.
• Perform data entry of abstracted physician information into databases.
• Educate medical staff on coding and documentation compliance.
• Collaborate with Medical Records, Finance and Physician Billing to ensure accurate data flow.
