Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Physician Coder II for remote, home-based work with occasional on-site training. You will code professional physician and extender services using ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS, ensuring accuracy and compliance while supporting denial prevention and revenue cycle goals.

Qualifications include 3 years of professional coding experience and CPC/CCS/CCS-P or similar certification. A high school diploma or equivalent and knowledge of CPT/ICD coding are required.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years certified coding experience in professional or physician practice.
• Proficiency in multi-specialty E/M coding along with minor bedside procedure coding is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews medical records and codes physician services using ICD-10, CPT and HCPCS.
• Verifies billable physician services by reviewing documentation for teaching hospital rules.
• Submits issues or trends to Senior Coder for evaluation and follow up.
• Collaborates with specialty team to monitor financial goals within the specialty.
