Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviews patient medical records and accurately assigns ICD-10-CM or CPT-4 codes.
• Applies sequencing guidelines to coded data according to official coding rules.
• Reviews medical records to ensure appropriate documentation.
• Remain knowledgeable of coding procedures and changes affecting outcomes.
• Communicate questions or concerns to Coding Manager, HIM Services Director, or Revenue Integrity Department.
