Baptist Health is seeking a Physician Coder II for a full-time, home-based position with occasional in-person training/meetings. The role focuses on coding physician services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS, reviewing documentation for accuracy, and supporting compliant billing practices across the Baptist Health Medical Group.

Ideal candidates have at least 3 years of certified coding experience, proficiency in medical terminology, and experience with multi-specialty coding.

Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of certified coding experience in professional or physician practice settings.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems.
• Ability to review physician documentation for compliance with coding rules.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and code physician services using ICD-10, CPT, and HCPCS.
• Verify billable physician services by assessing documentation for teaching-hospital rules.
• Collaborate with coding team to monitor financial goals and reduce denials.
• Communicate effectively with physicians and office staff about coding requirements.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure accuracy in coding practices.
