Jobrapido seeks a skilled Software Engineer to develop and maintain a mission-critical telecommunications operations platform. You’ll design backend services with PHP/Laravel and craft frontends using Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind.

You’ll work within a mature codebase, ensuring stability, performance, and backward compatibility. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of PHP/Laravel backend experience and strong Vue.js/TypeScript skills, plus familiarity with GitLab and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience (3+ years) in backend development using PHP and Laravel framework.
• Strong proficiency in frontend technologies including Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with mature codebases and maintaining legacy systems.
• Familiarity with version control systems, particularly GitLab.
• Knowledge of telecommunications industry standards and operational workflows is highly desirable.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve complex application and data issues efficiently.
• Experience with automated testing, technical documentation, and release management.
• Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams including QA, product management, and operations.
• Proficiency in using AI-assisted development tools responsibly to enhance productivity.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain features for a mission-critical telecommunications platform, ensuring high availability and performance.
• Work effectively within a mature application and codebase, making enhancements while preserving backward compatibility and operational stability.
• Develop robust backend services and application functionalities utilizing PHP and Laravel frameworks.
• Create responsive, maintainable user interfaces with Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, ensuring a seamless user experience.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues related to application functionality, data workflows, and production environments.
• Translate operational requirements into reliable software solutions, applying telecommunications knowledge effectively.
• Manage source control, merge requests, issue workflows, and releases using GitLab, maintaining comprehensive development documentation.
• Participate actively in peer code reviews, providing constructive feedback to improve code quality and team standards.
• Help ensure software quality through functional testing, regression testing, and validation of acceptance criteria.
• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, product owners, operations personnel, and subject-matter experts to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools responsibly to accelerate coding, debugging, testing, and documentation tasks.
• Create and maintain automated tests, technical documentation, implementation notes, and operational support procedures.
• Contribute to modernization efforts, technical debt reduction, performance enhancements, and architectural planning initiatives.
• Support production deployments and assist in troubleshooting operational issues to minimize downtime and optimize system performance.
