Tier4 Group is seeking a PHP Software Engineer for a 100% remote role in the USA (client in Atlanta, EST). You’ll develop server-side logic, manage the core database, and ensure high performance while integrating frontend work.

The position targets intermediate-level candidates and offers a full-time commitment within a collaborative, full-stack team. You will work across the full SDLC, refactor code for scalability, and contribute to enterprise and client projects with strong emphasis on

Qualifications

• BS in CS, software engineering, or related field.
• High proficiency in PHP.
• At least 1 year of Laravel experience.
• Experience with MySQL or MariaDB.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
• Familiarity with Git.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to explain complex tech.
• Bonus: Agile, Jira Software, SDLC, CI/CD experience.

Responsibilities

• Build efficient, testable PHP modules.
• Solve performance problems and architectural challenges.
