Excelon Solutions is seeking a Software Developer to design, develop, test, and maintain features for a core telecommunications platform. You will work in a mature codebase, enhancing performance and stability while contributing to modernization efforts.

The role emphasizes PHP/Laravel backend with frontend Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS, along with testing, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven backend development experience with PHP and Laravel.
• Strong frontend skills with Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Experience with mature codebases and legacy systems.
• Excellent problem-solving and debugging abilities.
• Familiarity with GitLab, merge requests, issue tracking, and releases.
• Knowledge of telecommunications workflows to translate needs into software solutions.
• Experience with automated testing and validation of acceptance criteria.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain features for a mission-critical telecommunications platform.
• Work within a mature codebase, ensuring backward compatibility and stability.
• Develop robust backend services with PHP and Laravel.
• Build responsive UIs using Vue.js, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS.
• Diagnose and resolve complex application, data, and production issues.
• Translate operational requirements into reliable software solutions.
• Manage source control, merge requests, issues, releases, and documentation in GitLab.
• Participate in peer code reviews and support QA processes.
• Create automated tests and technical documentation.
• Contribute to modernization efforts and reduce technical debt.
• Support production releases and troubleshoot issues.
