Actalent is seeking a Remote Pharmacy Technician Prior Authorization Specialist to support patients by managing PA requests for Medicare and Medicaid in a fully remote environment. The role combines data entry, clinical review, and phone-based customer service while working independently within a structured team.

Responsibilities include initiating PA cases, conducting technical reviews, and making coverage determinations.

Qualificações

• Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is required.
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid prior authorizations is preferred.
• Role involves remote work with HIPAA compliance and data security.
• Strong data entry skills with high accuracy.
• Ability to provide courteous customer service over the phone.
• Comfort working independently in a remote team environment.

Responsabilidades

• Process prior authorization requests for Medicare and Medicaid patients, focusing on Medicare.
• Collect information and set up PA cases in internal systems.
• Route intake cases to the review team and perform intake or technical reviews as needed.
• Conduct technical review by reading SOPs, insurance documents, and medical records.
• Make clinical coverage determinations on medication approvals or denials.
• Document decisions clearly in the system per internal policies.
