Job summary

Caremark is seeking a Pharmacy Tech I - prior authorization to work remotely from RI. You will provide professional help to members and providers through the prior authorization process and ensure all approvals/denials are documented accurately.

Responsibilities include transferring clinical questions to the pharmacist, coordinating administrative tasks, and using advanced computer tools while delivering excellent customer service on calls and written communications.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• National pharmacy technician certification required.
• Eligible for state registration per state regulations.
• Remote role with CST 8am-4:30pm shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional phone assistance to members and providers through the prior authorization process.
• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate documentation of all approvals and denials.
• Transfer all clinical questions to the pharmacist.
• Coordinate activities in an administrative support function as a pharmacy technician.
• Utilize advanced computer skills, including word processing and spreadsheet applications.
• Exhibit excellent customer service skills, both written and verbal.
