Job summary

Senior Health Services is seeking pharmacy students in their second year for a fully remote, paid summer internship to support quality improvement metrics for the Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan Medicare population.

interns will work 40 hours per week from mid-May to mid-August, handling telephonic outreach, member education, and communications with prescribers while gaining exposure to Part D and managed care pharmacy practice.

Qualifications

• Completion of 2 years of a PharmD program by the start of the internship.
• GPA ≥3.0 in PharmD and prior bachelor's degree preferred.
• Hospital or community pharmacy experience preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and deliver presentations on assigned topics.
• Conduct member education calls for Medicare Part D quality measures.
• Assemble member letters and articles on health topics.
• Communicate with prescribers about common issues.
• Collaborate with clinical pharmacists on projects.
• Maintain confidential information and document conversations.
