Care Coordinator – 100% Work From Home (Remote)

Position Overview

Delivering an exclusive model that fully integrates direct drug distribution to site-of-care with non-commercial pharmacy services, patient access support, and financial programs, Sonexus Health helps specialty pharmaceutical manufacturers build a closer connection to patient experiences.

The Care Coordinator is a foundational, entry-level role designed for strong multi-taskers who excel at high-volume customer service, patient interaction, and structured administrative data entry. In this position, you will work on routine assignments within established policies and past practices, receiving general direction on standard tasks and continuous support from supervisors for complex problems.

Role Clarification for Candidates:

Unlike the Case Manager role (which focuses on advanced, independent insurance appeals and backend PBM investigation), the Care Coordinator is a front-end position focusing on direct client communication, processing new applications, entry-level referrals, and navigating established procedural frameworks.

• Contract Duration:11/30-1/31 Tentative Dates Subject to Change
• NO TIME OFF The first 5-6 weeks of position (Mandatory)
• Hourly Compensation: $20.00 / hour
• Operational Work Schedule: Must be able to work any 8-hour shift between 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST as assigned.
• Onboarding Training Schedule: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST.
• Training Program Duration: First 4 to 6 weeks of the assignment (Virtual attendance is mandatory).
• Required Core Experience (Must be within the last 3 years): Medicare/Medicaid, HUB re-enrollment experience, Pharmacy experience, or Insurance company experience.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

• Resolve patient questions and concerns efficiently regarding their overall patient journey status.
• Enter highly detailed, accurate, and clear information into company proprietary software concurrently while conversing via telephone.
• Interact professionally with patient referral sources, including healthcare providers, to process new applicants.
• Maintain high quality while providing an empathetic, supportive experience to the patient by controlling the conversation and educating the caller.
• Steward patient accounts diligently from initial contact through final approval or denial.
• Apply acquired job skills, training, and company policies to complete routine assignments requiring basic problem resolution.

Experience & Education Requirements

• Education: Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Mandatory Experience (Must be within the last 3 years):
• Direct experience working with Medicare/Medicaid
• Experience with HUB re-enrollment programs, pharmacy operations, or within an insurance company environment.
• Core Skills: Must have exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a friendly, patient-centric focus, solid work ethic, and a desire to achieve daily/weekly metrics.

Technical & Typing Requirements

• Ability to type a minimum of 40 WPM.
• Ability to transcribe accurate notes simultaneously while speaking with customers.
• Strong experience utilizing Microsoft Products and navigating video conferencing tools like Microsoft Teams and Zoom.
• Must have the ability and comfort to work via video conferencing as required by leadership.
