Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in process engineering within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong understanding of pharmaceutical manufacturing technologies, scale-up principles, and regulatory requirements (FDA, EMA, SAHPRA).
• Proficiency with process simulation software (e.g., Aspen Plus, SuperPro Designer) and statistical analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop, scale-up, and optimize pharmaceutical manufacturing processes for drug substance and drug product.
• Conduct process validation studies and ensure all processes meet cGMP requirements.
• Troubleshoot process deviations and implement CAPAs.
• Utilize process simulation and modeling tools to enhance process design and efficiency.
• Collaborate remotely with manufacturing, quality assurance, and R&D teams to support process development and transfer.
• Contribute to the design and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and facilities.
• Ensure all process documentation is accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory standards.
