Job summary

Optum is seeking a Financial Consultant to support the Pharma Rebate Program through financial analysis, forecasting, and performance management. This remote role monitors rebate performance, identifies optimization opportunities, and partners with cross-functional teams to improve financial outcomes.

Requires a Bachelor’s in Finance or related field and 3+ years in corporate finance/FP&A, with strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience in corporate finance, FP&A, financial analysis, accounting, or a related analytical role.
• Experience conducting complex financial analysis involving contracts, performance metrics, forecasts, trends, and variances.
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint to summarize financial information for stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, data integrity, and ability to communicate financial information clearly.

Responsibilities

• Develop, perform, and manage the financial analysis and performance management of pharmaceutical rebate programs.
• Analyze rebate contract performance to identify trends, risks, and opportunities to optimize financial results.
• Develop and maintain financial reports communicating actual results, forecasted performance, and variances to plan, forecast, and budget.
• Partner with key stakeholder teams across client management, industry relations, accounts receivable/payable, and finance to manage rebate performance.
• Identify root causes of underperformance and coordinate corrective action plans; develop strategies to improve profitability and cost efficiencies.
